To be eligible you must expect to graduate from high school this year and you must have graduated from an elementary and/or middle school in Community School District 21. Applicants are urged to send the total application package no later than May 1, 2024. Applications received after May 1, 2024 will not be considered. Successful candidates will be selected by an assessment of artistic ability in one or more of the arts including, but not limited to, literature, fine arts, music and the performing arts, or in a specific academic field. Applicants must demonstrate good character, satisfactory academic achievement, community service, financial need, personal strengths as revealed in a required personal statement, and a letter or letters of recommendation. Applicants may be requested to appear before the scholarship advisory committee for a brief interview. This is a gift scholarship, not a loan, in the range of $2500.
Scholarship recipients will be required to inform the committee about how this award helped in making the first year of college a success by emailing a short report to Robbie Pearlstein at rlp318@aol.com NO LATER than May of the following school year.
FAILURE TO COMPLETE ANY PART OF THE APPLICATION WILL DISQUALIFY THE APPLICANT.
